Set D is the studio's softest room — a floor-to-ceiling wall of dusty-rose velvet drapes, blush curtains running the length of one side, and a smooth mauve wall over plush pink carpet. The velvet drinks light and falls in deep, even folds behind a subject, while the painted wall gives you a clean block of color when nothing should compete with the frame. At 12 by 15 feet it is built for tone-on-tone beauty, editorial, swim and lingerie — and the curtains pull fully open if you want raw cinderblock against all that softness.
